Why you should dump your Temp Files and Cookies regularly

While browsing the Internet, your computer accumulates 'cookies' and 'temporary files'. “Cookies”, are used to identify you to websites that you have visited before. “Temporary Internet Files” are files your computer accumulates from EVERY web page you ever visit, and are relied upon to make pages you have visited before load more quickly when you return.

While this isn't a bad thing, your browser will display the version of a web page stored in your Temporary Files, rather than displaying the most current version of a page (depending upon your browser settings).

What does this mean to you? You want to access the latest version of your DIS pages. We regularly make updates, and you as a member are able to make certain changes to your site. In order to have your browser display the latest versions of your DIS pages (and pages on other websites) it's a good idea to regularly delete your Temporary Internet Files. It's very simple and only takes a minute or two.

Here are the steps to take to delete these files, assuming you use Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  • On the menu on Internet Explorer, click on Tools, and select Internet Options. Select the General Tab. Find the Temporary Internet Files section of this tab and click on the “Settings” button.
  • On the new windows that pops up, find where it says “Check for newer versions of stored pages” and make sure that the radio button labeled “Every visit to the page” is selected.
  • Once you’ve checked this option, click on the “Show Files” button.
  • In the menu on this next window, choose Edit and click on Select All.
  • Then on the menu again, choose File and click on delete and select Yes when asked for a confirmation.
  • Once these files are deleted, simply close each of the windows you have just opened and try accessing the website that was giving you difficulty.

When using a website such as your DIS site, which relies heavily on both temporary files and cookies to work properly, it is advised that you make an effort to clear these files out at least once weekly.

If you are on a dialup connection, however, you may want to do this less frequently or only as needed to solve technical problems, as you will be more likely to notice a slower response from your connection once you have deleted these temporary files.

Also, keep in mind if you have visited your DIS website or that of your downline or sponsor, clearing your cookies means you will not be recognized when you visit again and you’ll see only Step One when viewing the site, just like a brand new visitor to the site. A cookie on the site recognizes return visits, and displays a different front page with options to go directly to ANY of the four steps.

Q. How do I register my DIS site with AmeriPlan™?

A. Here are instructions, copied exactly from text provided by AmeriPlan™'s Internet Compliance department:

The steps to registration are:

  • Login at AmeriPlan™ Broker Support at https://www.AmeriPlanusa.com/Broker/login.asp and go to the Customer Service menu.
  • Follow the links to Register Website, then Register Replicated Site.
  • Read through the registration rules and click Next Step. Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and click Next Step.
  • Choose dailyincomesystem.com (by Paychecks For Life.com, Inc) from the Vendor list.
  • Enter your DIS username in the box in front of dailyincomesystem.com and your current e-mail address in the second box.
  • Check the Show Name on IBO Broker Verification Page if you want your name to appear on the EagleSeal link that will be displayed on your DIS site.
  • Click Next Step.

AmeriPlan™'s Internet Compliance Officers also state "Broker Accounts will be charged $25 and Brokers will receive an e-mail stating that they have registered and are in the queue. Emails will be sent to both the Broker and DIS Webmaster. The Broker will be responsible for the content on their About Me page (including the EagleSeal) and the DIS Webmaster will be responsible for the replicated content."

This means that each member is responsible for the content of their About Me page and any other customizable area of their DIS system (such as autoresponder emails). You must make sure these are in full compliance with AmeriPlan™'s policies and procedures. DIS is responsible for appropriate content on the self-replicated areas of the site.

eNewsletters - The Inside Story

eNewsletters are a powerful tool for promoting your company and product/service to your leads and prospects. eNewsletters can be sent to all of your Leads, Prospects, DIS members you've sponsored, or leads in a given state. Say you've received a great electronic flyer about your company and would like to pass the information along to your leads and prospects. This is the tool to use!

You'll find the eNewsletter tab in your Email Manager. You can create your eNewsletter in Text or HTML. If you are unfamiliar with coding HTML, simply choose the Text option and write your eNewsletter in the same manner as you would any email. Allowed length of an eNewsletter is one or two pages (hard to gauge on an email, but something the size of this page would be considered two pages).

  • Carefully review the GUIDELINES found on the eNewsletter Tab before submitting your eNewsletter for approval and sending

  • eNewsletters should be one to two pages in length (hard to gauge on an email, but this eZine would be considered two pages)

  • Send an eNewsletter no more than ONCE per week

  • Refrain from using MLM words in your Subject Line that might be caught by spam filters, and don't use all capital letters

  • Take some time to write a powerful Subject Line that's an 'attention-getter'. Think about the emails you receive. Which ones catch your attention and cause you to open them?

  • If you include a graphic image or photo in your eNewsletter you will need to host the image on the web and include the URL to access the image in the eNewsletter.

  • Since all eNewsletters have to be personally reviewed for appropriate content, a nominal fee of $5 is charged for each submission. If a submitted eNewsletter contains prohibited content of any kind, it will be returned as 'Not Approved', and the fee of $5 is expressly non-refundable.

Do's and Don't's:

DON'T promote any company or product in your eNewsletter that you are not promoting on your site.

DON'T include information which is political or religious in nature.

DO keep your eNewsletter short and simple. Don’t give too much information.

DO include your website, phone numbers or email address you want to have your Leads or Prospects access. But once again do not overload your eNewsletter with too many options.

I wanted to both congratulate you and thank you for your Daily Income System (DIS), that you private labeled for all of us brokers here at Ameriplan. Awesome or maybe awe inspiring is the only thing I can come up with to express my feelings for the effectiveness of DIS.
